Ever wish you had more of a say in the minis that Bad Squiddo Games produces? Well now you do!
The Community Miniature is going to be an ongoing project that involves our Facebook Group Baggy’s Cave and Ko-Fi. We wanted to be able to run mini crowdfunders alongside our regular releases but not go through a Kickstarter each time for single miniatures. Often we are approached by keen fans to make a whole bunch of different women from history, but being such a small company, don’t have the funds.
But things are more fun when they involve a bunch of people, so let’s do it!
HOW DOES IT HAPPEN
There is ongoing voting in our Baggy’s Cave group, to decide who the next miniature will be. This step isn’t mandatory, but it is fun.
Next, that miniature will be placed on the website and available for you to pre order. Once 60 people have pre ordered, the miniature will be made. The Miniature will be £5 each time.
The first 100 sold (including pre orders) come with a very fancy Collector Card with artwork by Martin Whitmore. These will be listed as “Collector’s Edition” so you know you’re getting one.
Then it becomes part of the ongoing range, anybody can buy it and stores can stock it.
There are three stages – VOTING, FUNDING and GETTING. You don’t need to take part in all of them.
VOTING:

- Nominate somebody to be the next Community Miniature. Nomination rules are here.
- Vote for your favourite!
FUNDING
- Pre order the miniature via the SHOP.
- Wait til the goal is reached!
- Hooray! The mini will be made.
GETTING
- The mini is made!
- If you pre ordered with shipping, it will be shipped automatically. If you pre ordered and chose “add to another order”, your mini is ready to go whenever you are, with your next order.
- The mini now exists as part of the range, and can be bought by anyone.
